Suspend/hibernate buttons in KDE logout dialog (ksmserver)

Does anyone know how to configure what actions occur when the user presses the suspend or hibernate button in the KDE logout dialog? Currently, these buttons show up, but when I press either of them, the screen gets locked and that's it; there is no suspending or hibernating.

I've got pm-utils installed and from a command line I can call pm-suspend and pm-hibernate and they work (mostly) fine. How can I configure ksmserver to use these two commands instead of whatever it is currently using? I am using KDEmod.

Thanks and regards.

Re: Suspend/hibernate buttons in KDE logout dialog (ksmserver)

Its integrated with HAL, but i have seen similar patches which allow to specify a command inside the code... Dont ask me where i have seen them, i dont know anymore...

Unfortunately the current patch does not work correctly (grub menu/integration is totally buggy), so i will remove it with the next kdebase update... It will either come back with KDE 4 or when we find better patches...

Sorry about this, seems that we need some more coders smile

want a modular and tweaked KDE for arch? try kdemod
