Can anybody refer me to a page that has a succinct explanation of the changes brought about by the latest version of xorg?
I'm coming to understand that you don't even need an xorg.conf file anymore, that xorg is supposed to autodetect everything, and so on. But apparently you can still use an xorg.conf if you want to, only I'm not sure about the level of control the user retains.
I've read what I can find, but the wikis don't go into a lot of detail about how to manage the transition.
Thanks.
