kernel downgrade

Hi all, I need to setup VMWARE but i can't seem to be able to open images and 1 month ago I had it running flawlessly with kernel 2.6.20, so now I want to downgrade my kernel which is now 2.6.23 to try a new VMWARE installation. But my question is how can I downgrade a package? Where can I find the pkg file? I don't have it my pacman cache. Thank you.

Re: kernel downgrade

Which vmware product are you using : player, server , workstation 6 , workstation 5 ?

Try starting vmware from an xterm so you can see any error messages.
It could also be a permissions issue, try running vmware as root .

Edit :

If you really want to downgrade, look here

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

(A works at time B)  && (time C > time B ) ≠  (A works at time C)
