Check if there's any ACPI temperature listed with:

cat /proc/acpi/thermal_zone/THM/temperature

Otherwise, you might want to try installing LM_Sensors and use Conky's hwmon variable instead.

Re: conky configs and screenshots!

I'm not exactly sure if this is the place for it, but I need help finding a fix so my weather will display the way I want it to.

A few days ago I set up the weather.sh/weather.xslt scripts a lot of people use.  It worked... kind of.  What I wanted displayed was the current conditions, the weather for today and tonight, and the weather for tomorrow and tomorrow night.  When I wanted this much it simply didn't work.  So, to get around that, I divided it up into three separate scripts/.xslt files and made three lines in my .conkyrc files (now, today, tomorrow).

That worked OK, but wasn't formatted in a way that I see as ideal at all.  What I wanted were the values right-aligned while the property names, or whatever, were left-aligned.

With a little searching I turned up this thread in which a solution is proposed.  And it works.  Kind of.

I added the | sed... stuff to the last line of my weather.sh file.  This is OK.  If I execute it from a terminal, it works as it should.  The formatting works out and it looks right.

The problem arises when it's put to work with conky.  The same problem I was having before rises up: it only wants to display so much information.  In this case I'm getting only three lines, when what I desire is several more than three.

For comparison, have a look at these: terminal and conky.  One works, one doesn't (exactly).

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling conky.  I've tried installing the svn versions.  I'm kind of lost.  And, from other screenshots I've seen of people using the same script, I know that it's possible to show days and days worth of upcoming weather.  For some reason I'm just having trouble.

.conkyrc: http://pastebin.com/m23ab813c
weather.sh: http://pastebin.com/dc1f5920
weather.xslt: http://pastebin.com/d279ab499

EDIT: I've tried messing around to dumping the output to a text file and then cat-ing that file, and that works.  However, as soon as I try to make it happen on an interval, it doesn't work.  It has something to do with execi, vs. exec.

EDIT 2: It was related to text_buffer_size.  I just bumped it up.

Re: conky configs and screenshots!

Here's a conky theme that I've created to match my new gtk-theme.
It's heavily based on Lyrae's stylish Conky Box and I got some ideas in this thread as well.
In the package are 6 color-shemes. I've included all the scripts (2 of them by me) and the fonts as well.
The "cure" font is in the artwiz-fonts package (available via pacman).

edit
Since my little home ftp is slow and _many_ people are downloading this config I changed the link to the deviantart page.
