hal crash with my ipod

When i plug in my ipod 5g video, hal crash with this message:

Error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply.
Message did not receive a reply (timeout by message bus)

I've tried with fedora 8 live, and it works fine with my ipod, the version of hal is the same in archlinux and there aren't any policies (etc/hal/fdi) in both.

So, why in archlinux hal crash and dosn't mount the ipod ??
