Weird having a group for a Linux distribution for something that requires Windows *shrugs*.

Nah, it doesn't require windows, that's just a system requirement.

Meh, tons of people use steam through wine.  From what I understand it works quite well.

yep, steam works perfect through wine
only problems is friends, which you cant see or hear if they are writing anything to you, also once played a steam game I have to restart steam to play another game, says "Game is currently unavailable". that problem has been there all the time for me.
