Hmmm... it seems that's not the whole log, is it? The only warning I see is that ACPI is not enabled. Did you install the package?
I also see that you're running the 2.6.24RC1, so probably testing-repo is enabled?
In my primary Arch-system (no testing) with a GeForce2mx I have Compiz running flawlessly: 2.6.23 kernel, nvidia-96xx driver (and utils), both xfce4 and gnome.
Could you paste your most recent xorg.log again and xorg.conf?
Zl.

He isn't running 2.6.24RC1, have a look at your own log. It's from the build machine.
I hate sigs. This one only exists to remind myself to get an avatar.

maybe you haven't been disabled the dri option at the begining of the /etc/X11/xorg.conf, 'cause i look your pastebin and that module is loaded, post your own xorg.conf, and i maybe could help you. I have a GeForce Mx 400 and compiz fusion runs like a marathon girl
.
PS: Sorry for my rusty english.
I'm in the Arch way!
