X-fi beta driver

Has anybody managed to get it working? I followed the instructions http://blackbox.lostwave.net/x-fi/readme.txt but to no avail. I even compilled my own kernel for the first time but i still get:

make: *** [ctossrv] Error 2

Any suggestions anybody? Is there anything Arch-specific i should be considering?

Nothing specific regarding a solution, but that one-line error message isn't very revealing. Pastebin the entire output of make, and link it here - somebody might spot something then.

As far as I know it doesn't compile with GCC4.x.

Re: X-fi beta driver

Alot of people have got it working with GCC4.x using the patch and instructions here
http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-58 … art-0.html

I compiled 2.6.22 yesterday and got further but it craped out inserting modules:( . I think i will have a look at some threads with people having the same issues and see if there is a working kernel conifg.
