Macbook and laptop_mode.

I've just discovered laptop_mode, but it doesn't seem to work correctly.

$ laptop_mode auto
Laptop Mode Tools 1.34Laptop Mode Tools 1.34
On AC power: Deactivating, because ENABLE_LAPTOP_MODE_ON_AC is not set.
Laptop mode Checking if desired state is different from current state.
enabled, not active [unchanged]

Do I have to recompile kernel if I want to use it?

Is kernel26 no longer patched with appleir?

Re: Macbook and laptop_mode.

Run that command without the AC power connected, unless you change the settings, laptop_mode will not be activated with the power cord connected to the computer (a good thing in my opinion).

Re: Macbook and laptop_mode.

@tizoc: that worked well for me, although I have a laptop with a similar configuration.

Thanks!

Re: Macbook and laptop_mode.

I have laptop_mode hooked to the acpi events, so it executes automatically when I plug and unplug the power, and iirc that was the default in Arch, I didn't change much of it.
