consistent font layout in konqueror

hello,

i've switched to konqueror, because it's (really) faster than firefox. everything fine so far, but it's annoying that the fonts are somehow inconsistent. i have a default font of 10pt, but on some sites the font is huge, like here arch wiki:
archwikihugefontyq5.th.png
and on other the font is tiny, like here google:
googletinyfontcq5.th.png.
can someone help me?
as you see i've googled a little, but no satisfying solutions found.

Re: consistent font layout in konqueror

You can set the font size:

Settings >> Configure Konqueror >> Fonts

Set your fonts there and hopefully it will be fixed.

Re: consistent font layout in konqueror

yes, i did that. i have 9pt as minimum font size and 10pt as medium font size. if the size is smaller than 9pt the google font is unreadable; if the medium font size is greater than 10pt, than the arch wiki font is huge (even with 9pt medium font the size is big). i think it´s an internal konqueror problem.
firefox has this "force sites to use my fonts"-box. konqueror doesn't have this.

Re: consistent font layout in konqueror

DonVla, did you ever resolve this problem? I'm giving konqueror a shot, but have the same problem. Perfect example: Google search vs wikipedia. The fonts on wikipedia are bigger.

It's too bad, because beyond that, I'm kind of liking Konqueror.

konqfontsvy1.png

That's fine for me: min 11 med 14. Google result fonts use the minimum.

I need real, proper pen and paper for this.

Re: consistent font layout in konqueror

I've found a work-around involving custom css.

1) Create your user.css:

* {
   font-family: sans-serif !important;
   font-size: 14px !important;
}

2) Tell konqueror to use your css:
Settings->Configure Konqueror...->Stylesheets
Select "Use user-defined stylesheet" and point it to user.css

For me, this sets all fonts to 14 pt, and lets them be resized along with the other fonts. This is sufficient for me, hope it helps you.
