2 independant xserver?

Hi,

I own a laptop with an external monitor, keyboard and mouse. I wonder if it is possible to have two independant xserver, one on the external monitor using the external keyboard and mouse and one using the internal display with the internal keyboard and touchpad.
I tried starting two xserver, but I can only clone or extend the viewport of one xserver and switch between the servers on vt7 and vt8, but I can't use them independantly.

Anyone here who knows how to accomplish this?

Thanks a lot in advance for your help.

Your "google keyword" = multi seat.

Somewhere between "too small" and "too large" lies the size that is just right.
