I can't think of anything else, really. Just finished up a project at school and I've finally had time to hack on my xmonad darcs config. I must say haskell makes zero sense to me. I just ordered a book on it to see what the fuss is about.

And then it happened... a door opened to a world... rushing through the phone line like heroin through an addict's veins, an electronic pulse is sent out, a refuge from the day-to-day incompetencies is sought... a board is found.

It's not a screenshot, but I thought I'd share a simple volume script for dzen based on the battery script Theomachos pasted up earlier:
#!/bin/zsh
# vim:ft=zsh ts=4
myvol() {
percentage=`amixer |grep -A 6 \'Front\' |awk {'print $5'} |grep -m 1 % |sed -e 's/[][%]//g'`
ismute=`amixer |grep -A 6 \'Front\'|awk {'print $7'} |grep -m 1 "[on|off]" | sed -e 's/[][]//g'`
if [[ $ismute == "off" ]]; then
print -n "$(echo "0" | gdbar -fg '#aecf96' -bg gray40 -h 7 -w 60)"
else
print -n "$(echo $percentage |gdbar -fg '#aecf96' -bg gray40 -h 7 -w 60)"
fi
}
while true; do
print "^i(/home/buttons/.bitmaps/volume.xbm)$(myvol)"
sleep 1
done
Obviously you'll have to change the path to the bitmap, and unless you have a strange soundcard as I do, you'll probably want 'Master' rather than 'Front' as well.
Then it's just script.sh | dzen2 (options) and away you go. Really neat stuff, thanks Theomachos.
EDIT: Oops, misattributed

@buttons: You may want to move your post over to the dzen & xmonad Hacking Thread I just started. Feel free to post your xmonad.hs to the xmonad Hacking Thread too. Cheers!

1. In your xorg.conf, add
Option "DPI" "96 x 96"
under Section "Monitor"
And my font setting is: anti-aliasing is on, hinting is slight and sub-pixel hinting is RGB.
That works for me.
2. Because I have known you for so long, sure I will.

@Gotmor: What are you using for your cpu monitor there? Does it support multiple cpus (IE: duel core)? Your whole set up looks pretty stellar.

From his script archive:
cpubar | dzen2 -ta l -w 275
Except that he's released gcpubar now, which is niftier. I think this is pretty close to (different font, but the colours are the same I think) what he's using in that shot:
gcpubar -fg '#aecf96' -bg gray40 -h 7 -w 75 | dzen2 -ta l -w 275 -bg '#000000' -fg 'grey70' -fn '-*-terminus-*-*-*-*-12-*-*-*-*-*-iso8859' -e '' &

I just wanted to say thanks. You not only provide inspiration with your screenshots but always take the time to help out when im mixed up. It means a lot.

sen, that is a nice script youve got running for the cpu/mem/swap, mind sharing?

Sure, there you go.
Put the cpu*(-graph) scripts to '/usr/local/bin' or change the paths in the awesome-monitor script.
I have created two versions of the cpu scripts... cpu1+2 return numbers (like in my screenshot) and cpu1+2-graph return a 'wannabe progressbar'. ^^

You can specify different themes for GTK and for XFCE? How's that?

I set the both themes to GT4_white-aqd first and the the Xfce Theme to Clearlooks.
There are some little differences if I set the Xfce-Theme to GT4_white_aqd or to Clearlooks. Look at the Menu (and Sonata - triangle next the cover). It seems that chooseing clearlooks as Xfce-theme only changes some minor things; not the colors e.g.
gtk2-theme = GT4_whitw-aqd
xfce-theme = Clearlooks
gtk2-theme = GT4_whitw-aqd
xfce-theme = GT4_white-aqd
Edit:
For QT I use 'Plastik' style and 'GT4_aqua' color-scheme.
