After an upgrade my USB devices are acting up after xorg loads; for example if I open konsole and start typing all of the sudden random text gets inserted. And then eventually the mouse goes hay-wire and starts clicking all over the screen, the keyboard stops responding, and eventually everything stops and my logs show me the following...

If I startx without the usb devices plugged in, and then plug them in once xorg is loaded, then they work fine. Any suggestions on this?

Is your usb a pci card nterface device?
EDIT: Try looking at usbview and lsusb for clues. Also remove USB devices one by one to determine which is culprit.

There is a bug in configuring the mouse and the xorgtable is corrupted. Will be fixed in version 5.2

EDIT: By rasat.....In hwd-5.1.2, there is a bug hanging the system. In 5.2 a major script change and things fixed.

EDIT: There is a listing of hwd 5.1.2 as a new release in arch home.....

My USB is on board (nForce3 motherboard)
00:02.0 USB Controller: nVidia Corporation nForce3 USB 1.1 (rev a5)
00:02.1 USB Controller: nVidia Corporation nForce3 USB 1.1 (rev a5)
00:02.2 USB Controller: nVidia Corporation nForce3 USB 2.0 (rev a2)
From testing it looks to be only my keyboard that's causing this weird behavior. Here is the keyboard information if it helps...

Some reports on the forums say that nvidia has problems with xrandr which impacts xorg and could cause your difficulties.
I don't have any info on nvidia...don't use it.

SOLVED
My USB Card reader was the problem... I had to unplug it, once I did everything came back to normal. Weird, looks like there is a hardware issue with the card reader and usb system of the laptop.
