Help with FQDN ??

Hi, I want to create a self-signed SSL certificate, client certificates etc for the purpose to use with apache for authenticating clients and directory access.

Can someone please explain what to use for "Common Name" ?? I read that "it is important that this field be filled in with the fully qualified domain name of the server to be protected by SSL". I don't think I have a FQDN. I'm thinking about using something like dynamic DNS. So, what should I use for "Common Name" ?? Thanks.

Re: Help with FQDN ??

Use the hostname you'll enter in your browser when you want to access your site, like subdomain.dyndns.org.
