Xorg and gnome...
Hi,
I'm new to Arch, but I've been on Ubuntu for about a year now and I wanted something a little more customizeable. About 2 weeks ago I installed Arch alongside Ubuntu and I just followed the installation wiki, I couldn't get xorg running... Arch has been some kind of hobby project ever since, on which I work on every now and then when I feel like it.
So I searched these forums a lot and google of course, but in the end I tried so many stuff to get it working, I don't really know what exactly I've done. I remember I once got xorg and gnome working but I had to start them manually although I had both of them listed in my rc.conf... So I tried other things and now I just can't get it to work again. I know I changed vid drivers but I can't remember which ones I used. 
Oh yeah I'm using an Acer Aspire 1711 laptop. I'll post my xorg.conf in a bit (I'm on my evil Windows box atm 
), although it's just a hwd -xa conf, I tried my Ubuntu xorg.conf file as well but it didn't work.
If you need any other info let me know.

Usually, I start with 'hwd -x', and then add gdm as a daemon in /etc/rc.conf.

First part is ok. Second one, though, shouldn't even be an option... Allways prefer editting /etc/inittab and change default initlevel from 3 to 5, and the daemon from xdm to gdm, in this case. It envolves only commenting two lines plus uncommenting two other.

EDIT:Woot I got it working now. 
I just removed the xorg video driver I was using (intel) and installed the i810 one.
