Wow! Linux MCE Progress

This video shows off some very cool features of "linux mce".  Sorry about the pretentious Windows-bashing asshole narrating it, but still... an impressive piece of software:

Wow, this looks awesome! Currently I'm running gentoo + MythTV frontend on my htpc and the MythTV backend on my fileserver... I think I'll try LinuxMCE on my htpc.

Very old videos...

http://linuxmce.com/

LinuxMCE is a free, open source add-on to Kubuntu including a 10' UI, complete whole-house media solution with pvr + distributed media, and the most advanced smarthome solution available. It is stable, easy to use, and requires no knowledge of Linux and only basic computer skills.

... but still a great system smile

Let me know how it goes!  I'd like to know how easy your setup and stuff went.

Good Luck!

Re: Wow! Linux MCE Progress

Well I have tryed out both LinuxMCE and Pluto at home! And ending up with the same solution:
Going back to only runs MythTV as and under the stairs solution for getting the best performance, look and defently the best and easiest way to use.
To make musicchoice in MCE and PLUTO is a living hell ( for me and takes way to long time to find the number I want to hear!

Just getting better .... All the time
