qt themes?

I recently installed openbox and really liked the onyx theme and I'd like to have the same theme in qt apps, but unfortunatly I'm unable to find qt themes anywhere and trying to tune the pallete myself leads to bizzare font issues if I use black background.

Re: qt themes?

I always use kcontrol to set the theme, but I think it's as easy as changing the $home/.qt/qtrc

Look for [General] and inside it:
sylte=whateveryouwant

Re: qt themes?

I, uhh, don't have kde installed...
I mean where I should put the files so that later qt will allow me to chose them as style (or how to "manually" apply them.

Re: qt themes?

The styles need to be installed, look at each theme page for instructions. After that, you change your config manually as I said or you could use "qtconfig"

Re: qt themes?

qtconfig doesn't provide a tool how to add themes and again I'm left clueless.
The theme itself is that and the downloaded file doesn't have a readme...
Sorry to bother you with stupid questions...

Re: qt themes?

For the kink above, you'll need to install deKorator first (http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=31447). That link is an upgrade. Unfortunately deKorator is a KDE theme and not simply a QT style.

But, to answer your question, installing QT styles at least with QT4 in the standard directories (like the one in testing) is simple. All styles should end up in /usr/lib/qt/plugins/styles. From there qtconfig can find them.
