PB EasyNote

Hi.

I don't know where to ask this, so I'll just ask it here.

Today when I booted my laptop, i ran into a strange problem. When i booted the screen stayed blank even thought the computer turned on. I removed the battery and tried again and it booted ok, except that it asked for a password and i haven't set a password. I don't know the password so it won't boot.

If i leave the laptop alone for a few moments, it boots normally and works like before. Can this be caused by some parts heating too much? Or can my motherboard simply be broken? Could it be caused by kernel or what? Has anyone else ran into this kind of problem and how was it handled?

Any answers appreciated.

Thanks

Re: PB EasyNote

Not sure what the cause could be as there are not enough symptoms to assist.
You could check the temperature by simply feeling the underside of the laptop.  Ideally your fan should still be working, if not, that may be your problem.
It does not explain, though, why your monitor would stay blank.
