unblock the sound blocking

whenever i hear any thing like a song
and want to hear simultaneously  some other song for example
and it is impossible
is it fixable
or just the linux way

alsa's dmix should take care of it, but it doesn't always work as expected.

That's one of the reasons I've moved over to OSS v4, in which it works flawlessly.
