freenx authentication error

I setup freenx using this guide:

When I go to connect, I always get an authentication error.  I copied the key as the guide says.  I have tried as my user and as root, and I am entering the correct passwords.

Suggestions? Or how do I get debug output?

My windows client said it couldn't authenticate the user nx.

The nx client first authenticates as nx, then as my login user.  I was allowing only a few users to login via sshd, so I added user nx to "AllowUsers" in /etc/ssh/sshd_config and now it works.
