Hey guys,
Jared from SliceHost emailed me today and told me that due to popular demand, they now offer Arch as a distribution choice.

I've been a slicer for a while now...great news!

I started a Arch part of the slice wiki. Figured at a minimum we can have a pointer to the Archlinux wiki.

I've used Arch on a slicehost VPS for a long time now. I did a remote install, which was very easy to do thanks to their "rescue" stuff.
I left them however for a Swedish host (who sucked), so now I'm back with Slicehost and when I saw Arch among the distro options it made me really happy ![]()
Running: Arch Linux i686, x86_64, ppc

Used slicehost.com for about a week now, they are simply awesome. Their management tools is simple, yet effective gets the job done.

Have noticed a hang in my slice. Happens on the hour, but not at regular intervals. I don't have any hourly cron jobs and the daily does not occur around that time. Lasts a couple minutes and that's it.

A bit offtopic, but how does slicehost compare to linode (wich also provides the option to install Arch)??
I am about to sign up for a vps account, and haven't decided yet (I'm between slicehost and linode)

Slicehost runs Arch64, Linode runs Arch 32-bit. You might be happier with Slicehost's performance as I find Linode sluggish sometimes.
