Trouble installing nvidia 169.04-1 driver

I'm trying to install the nvidia 169.04-1 driver as I'm using an 8800gt and its the only nvidia driver that supports it. This is my first time trying to download from aur so I decided to use yaourt
My exact input is
yaourt -S nvidia-beta 169.04-1
But it outpurs with a gzip error explaining its not a tar format.
I also tried
yaourt -S nvidia-utils-beta 169.04-1
But when it finishes downloading it has another error. I'm probably making a simple mistake, can anyone help me?
Thanks

Re: Trouble installing nvidia 169.04-1 driver

I've never used yaourt, but I do know that 169.04-1 is not part of the package name. It's just nvidia-beta.

Re: Trouble installing nvidia 169.04-1 driver

That's my fault, it's only a tar archive, not gzipped as the file name indicates. Updated now. Please try again... smile
