Keyboard Only Web Browser?

I know firefox has some interesting keyboard-only plugins, but those are pretty slow and I'm mostly a fan of opera.  Does anyone know of any Opera plugins that allow me to avoid using a mouse?  If not, is there any browser meant for the specific purpose of being able to use only a keyboard?

Please don't say links or lynx roll.  Thanks in advance.

Well, I know that you can customize Opera to the brink of insanity when it comes to the keyboard. My advise is to take a deeper look into that. Other than that I recommend the vimperator-plugin for firefox. It is not perfect but it gets the job done best.

+1 for Vimperator here too. Try it out. I'm sure you'll love it. It's the only reason that I still use Firefox. smile

Another +1 for Vimperator. It's the only reason I'm not using Kahas... Kahaze... Ka... that other one.

Yes: Vimperator. The devs are always adding features / making it better.

This guy has keybindings for making Opera delicious.

Now if I can make flash work, and prettify this ugly beast, and make it not change my damn cursors I'll be a happy camper.

Re: Keyboard Only Web Browser?

honestly, the /only/ thing vimperator has on opera+keybindings is that i can have a combination of keys go directly to a link, and with opera you sort of have to guide your way down (which really isn't that bad, but still...).

Also you could try using links-hacked, links-g, links, or elinks (or any other terminal-based browsers).

I used to be a big fan of vimperator but I just freaking hate firefox. I'm back with Opera now and i like it even more than firefox+vimperator.

The only thing I dislike about Opera is that it uses Qt, and rapes my cursors. I'm sure there are ways for intergrating it better, but I haven't put in any time with it yet.

Re: Keyboard Only Web Browser?

qt-3.3.8-5 is only (albeit too much, but still, come on...) 9.88 MB. What about it is so bad?

Cursors are another issue perhaps there is a fix for.

Still, if a decent keyboard-based browser comes along I will be the first to jump on it!
