Module loaded (by instalator, tg3), ping to google ok, but siple wget google.com hangs weirdly:

and you could wait forever...

ifconfig:

errors, but dhcp works ok...

i google it, found: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Con … ling_Issue
so sysctl.conf become:

#
# Kernel sysctl configuration
#
net.ipv4.tcp_window_scaling = 0

# Disable packet forwarding
net.ipv4.ip_forward=0

# Disable the magic-sysrq key
kernel.sysrq = 0

# Enable TCP SYN Cookie Protection
net.ipv4.tcp_syncookies = 1

i've also tried tricks witk echo "0" /sys/net/.. and echo "8..." /sys/net/... and nothing better

dmesg | grep etho0:

Re: odd network issue

I have an extensa 5620-6830, ethernet works fine. I'd say, check your cabling if you didn't do that already.
I don't think the google issue is related. Try to use the tg3_debug parameter of the tg3 module.
