Hello,
I've recently changed my dvd recorder, and now I find out that all the cds I burn fail their verification. I've tried k3b (which I have been using for a long time) and brasero, and both finish recording but fail the integrity test. I had thought it was the new recorder, so I installed Ubuntu to check it, but k3b records fine in Ubuntu - and just to verify, I've used the same cdrw disk to record the same iso image under arch and ubuntu, and arch always fails, but ubuntu works fine every time. Every other thing related to this drive works fine: ie I've burnt quite a few dvd-r's without a single error.
Any suggestions would be welcome! Thanks!

Check the compatibility of your DVD recorder with the media discs you are using for cd recording.

he already stated he used the exact same setup, just a different OS, one works one doesn't. So its not the media he is using...

Perhaps try to record a cd from the cmdline to try to get a more detailed error output?

Same problem here - k3b fails and gnomebaker runs 100% cpu and dies.
Have discovered this though - in the dir. where your files are to burn - from terminal
wodim [name of file]
Has worked fine for me (so far)

thanks for your suggestion, kefir. I will try to use the command line, will have to search around to see how it's done - and learn something in the process.
