big problems with xine

I am trying to play a DVD with xine-ui but after some work I ran into a problem I don't know how to fix. I ran xine-check and everything is good except this:

[ hint ] Your DVD drive seems not to be attached via ATAPI.
This might be due to the use of an ide-scsi emulation.
If you really have a SCSI DVD drive, your SCSI controller is likely
to do perfect DMA, so there's no reason to worry about this.
However, if you're using ide-scsi, there is a chance that DMA is
disabled for the DVD drive. Moreover, I don't know how to enable
DMA in that case, so you probably have to live with some performance
loss. (FIXME: check for /proc/ide, provide solution)
         press <enter> to continue...

I try to play a DVD, the title comes up and then it gives me a message: "The source can't be read. Maybe you don't have enough rights for this, or source doesn't contain data. ... Error opening vtsN= -1 domain = 2."

I googled this problem and found that I should probably get w32codecs, libxine-extracodecs and libdvdcss2. But since there are no packages for arch I don't know how to get them.

Re: big problems with xine

$ pacman -Ss libdvdcss
extra/libdvdcss 1.2.9-2
libdvdcss is a cross-platform library for transparent DVD device access with on-the-fly CSS decryption.

Try that.

Re: No DVD playback
Yippy! I can finally play dvds:

gpasswd -a USER optical

That's right, I just added the reg user to the optical group.
