Kernel panic

I was messing around with fbsplash (which isn't working btw smile) and ran a mkinitcpio something.  Real descriptive, I know. Well whatever it did, I now get

Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown block(0,0)

when I try to boot. That's all I can really give besides I'm using kernel 2.6.23-ARCH. If using a custom kernel would fix this, I'd be more than willing if you walked me through it (and I wouldn't mind if it supported gensplash tongue)

Re: Kernel panic

Every time I post for help, I fix it five minutes later. I just copy pasted (stupid idea but I felt I had little to lose) a mkinitcpio.conf from this thread:
http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=39382

and ran:
mkinitcpio -k $(uname -r) -g /boot/kernel26.img

problem fixed. Unless I break it again that is smile.
