adding a user account

used useradd to add regular user account.  A couple of questions.

i know the new account should be added to audio, video, wheel, optical.....is that all that is requirred?

oh and have fluxbox installed, and edit my /home/username/.xinitrc and have it

exec startfluxbox

but i get a weird erro, like couldn't open x session...any help?

better use adduser. its better

problem is.....startx under root brings up twm....and though i can sign in as user, as soon as i su root...I can't go back....su username seems to work, but then an exit comes up at the promt and i am back to root


fluxbox says unable to open Xsession,

for both root and user
