Java plugin- how?

I've installed j2re and am using Konqueror (I've gotten used to the korny naming scheeme) . Sun's test page detects that I have it installed, but every other page with an actual applet doesn't work. There is no error output when I run from terminal.

Re: Java plugin- how?

Usually Konqueror finds the 'java' executable of the JDK and not the JRE. Change the path of the Java executable to /opt/java/jre/bin/java.

Re: Java plugin- how?

thank you very much. Man I can't believe how much faster Arch boots compared to *buntu and Debian and Opensuse (yes, I've tried them)
