I am brand new how do i install kde

I no that is a stupid thing to ask but I have been using kubuntu for a while and I wanted to try arch out

As root:

pacman -Sy kde

will install the whole group. You'll want to add KDM and HAL to the daemons array in /etc/rc.conf also. All of this is covered in the wiki if you need help.

When you have your system up and running, open your console and become root and type pacman -Sy kde

Ok thank you so much I was reading you had to run pacman -S kde and it would not work.
