Problem with texlive [solved, d'oh]

I've just uninstalled tetex and installed texlive-most. But when I run pdflatex I get this output:

% pdflatex 01.tex
This is pdfTeX, Version 3.141592-1.40.3 (Web2C 7.5.6)
kpathsea: Running mktexfmt pdflatex.fmt
fmtutil: format directory `/home/zitho/.texmf-var/web2c' does not exist.
I can't find the format file `pdflatex.fmt'!

The wiki page doesn't say anything about pos-installation configuration, am I missing something?

edit: solved it removing ~/.texmf-*
