Hey all, newb here. I've been using the 'Buntus for about 4 years and messing with Linux on and off for quite a while, but still feel pretty "newbish". Anywho, I've recently installed Arch on both my laptop and desktop, and really like it so far (especially the desktop, KDEmod freakin' flies:)), but I'm having a helluva time getting wireless to work on my laptop. I've searched through the wiki and read the Rt73 page among many others, and I'm a bit overwhelmed and not sure how to proceed. I've got modules loading for what I would guess are the right drivers (Rt73 usb), but am having no luck getting anywhere. So should this card work "outta the box" at this point, and if so what am I missing to get it going? I've been reading and reading, but there seems to be about 1001 different approaches and I'm kinda stuck. Thanks in advance for any help!! Cheers..............

I use the rt2x00-cvs package, and it just works. Standard setup, using ifconfig, iwconfig, and wpa_supplicant (only needed if you use WPA, of course).
Try those tools (read man pages first, if necessary), come back if you still have questions. If it all works, create a profile for it using netcfg, or ideally netcfg2 from testing.
