Hi,
due to hardware upgrade and stuff I'm considering to switch my Xubuntu console-only box to some other distro. Since I kind of afraid of Gentoo I think I'll try ArchLinux. I have advance expirience with Ubuntu/Desktop+shell(Laptop) and Xubuntu/console(server) and of win exept vista.
So:
is it a big fuss to get a Archlinux[Apache+SVN+Trac + smb:share + rtorrent/libtorrent + ssh] running ?
I do compile my pidgin (IM) and banshee (musik program) from source but except of these I use the ubuntu repos which I personally find extremly useful.
What do I expect? hm ... A smaller and (although maybe only a little) faster distro, since I suspect Xubuntu to be overkill for the given jobs.
Some details:
Via EPIA EN10000 (i think )
1Ghz Fanless C7
750 GB sata hdd (in a few days)
1 GB Ram
<5 LocalUsers
Thx for advice or info.
PS:
A smaller and (although a little) faster distro,
it is not that the machine goes down because of cpu load atm,

You should have no problems getting all that running in a matter of minutes.

Well thanks and dzienky, I'm looking forward to post my results (or help cries) - time will tell.
