Getting bluetooth to work

I'm trying to get bluetooth working with my new laptop. I've looked at the wiki, but it doesn't seem to help sad

we need just a little more info ... have you loaded up bluetooth apps? is bluetooth daemon running? any output from hcitool scan

I've got the bluetooth daemon running. When I do hcitool scan I get:

Device is not available: No such device

I'm pretty sure I have built in bluetooth, because it said on my order form..

EDIT: I installed kdebluetooth but it doesn't detect anything.

try:

sudo hciconfig hci0 up

I had the same thing until I turned the bluetooth adapter on
