nVidia driver is still beta or?

Hey folks just a bit confused, I see on nVidia's site that the 169.07 driver is out, I am currently using 100.14.19, but I haven't seen an update when I update pacman. I see the driver is in AUR but is it going to be in the pacman soon or what is the procedure? Just curious as I really don't know how it works, if it goes to AUR first and then pacman or what smile Thanks!

Every distro always takes its own sweet time. The advantage with Arch is that you can cp -r /var/abs/blah to /var/abs/local, change the pkgver and compile away wink

I've got the blank console bug with 169.07. I'm stuck with the new version b/c of buggy support for my laptop in the previous version.

Could you folks who have it working/not working state your video cards? Curious if there's a pattern perhaps or anything of the sort.

And basically the answer is to wait for it to be added to pacman to upgrade or just go through AUR?

I get the fan bug when I use the new 169.07 but 169.04 beta works great and is incredibly stable.

Had a problem with a blank screen when restarting X after loading compiz.

        Option "ModeValidation" "NoEdidModes"

This option in the device section of Xorg.conf solved the problem
