Intel gma 950 compiz fusion, video issues

Hey,

I was thinking of installing Arch on my laptop, however I wanted to ask a few questions before I did. With the Ubuntu live-cd when I play a video while compiz fusion is on and then I try making the video player transparent, the video goes blank until I make it 100% opaque again. Also, when I move the video player the video gets left behind until I drop the player and then the video itself shoots back where it is suppsed to be. Can anyone with an intel video card and compiz-fusion tell me if they are having similar issues?

Configure your video player to use xv output and you should be fine. Had the same problem.

umm, how do you do that? (I use totem, mplayer, and vlc though mostly totem).

Re: Intel gma 950 compiz fusion, video issues

I run gnome with german localizaition so i hope i get the translation right:

VLC:
Preferences/Video/Output(modules?)
Enable extended preferences and you should be able to change output modes.

Mplayer:
Video tab in preferences menu.

Don't use totem though....
