hello im using the latest arch from a FTP install and have been searching to fix a problem but cant find the answer anywhere so i descided to post this here.
I have KDM load this script
#!/bin/sh
killall Xgl
rm /tmp/.X1*
konsole -e Xgl :1 -fullscreen -accel xv:pbuffer -accel glx:pbuffer -nolisten tc$
# Nvidia users should change xv:pbuffer for xv if it doesn't work directly (it $
sleep 4
export DISPLAY=:1
cookie="$(xauth -i nextract - :0 | cut -d ' ' -f 9)"
xauth -i add :1 . "$cookie"
exec startkde
This gives me a working KDE enviroment with XGL loaded so that i can run compiz. the only problem is that on first boot XGL always freezes, this is why i have added the konsole into the script so that i can [ top | grep Xgl ] and [ kill -9 *Xgl process number*] after i kill the frozen XGL by doing that everything works fine.
Does anyone know a work around or fix for this annoying bug?

Do you need Xgl as the latest Catalyst supports aiglx which may work better for you.
