i don't know whether 'kernel & hardware' is the right section, but i couldn't find a better on.
anyway....
i recentrly started to recognize some weird behaviour of my harddisks in my system. first my firefox profile was gone over night. the whole ~/.mozilla directory just wanished. so i created a new one to see, wether it was an ff2 issue, but nothing since... yesterday i just recognized, that some (2 or 3) menu entries are missing in my kmenu which i had to regenerate by hand. upon regeneration i wanted to assign some shortcut keys to my progs, but without success, as kmenueditor claims that the shortcuts are already in use (but the menu entries wouldn't show up).
is there somebody with similar issues, or has anyone a possible explanation for this? i'm started to get worried, that some day really serious data could go to digital nirvana.....
my system consists of:
athlon xp, 2x 160gb samsung spinpoint something with xfs and reiser3
and i use kdemod (is that of any importance? -> kmenu?)
