x86_64 install wont work

Hia there from Serbia. I downloaded Archlinux-x86_64-2007.08-2.core.iso and burned down the iso right away. As i am running Slackware now, i dont want to install Arch on HDD, so i thought to give it a try from qemu. Ive set up the virtual machine and all that, but when i run installer, i get

Ive tried to extend number of virtual CPUs to 2, because i own a Intel E2140 processor, which is 64bit capable, but it wont work.

Re: x86_64 install wont work

Are you running 32bit  x86 slackware or or the unofficial x86_64 version?

My  understanding is that you cannot run a 64bit guest os (Arch) in a 32bit host os (Slack).

Also see this, http://fabrice.bellard.free.fr/qemu/status.html

Re: x86_64 install wont work

In that case you would have to use x86 Arch (i686) version.
