Another very serious bug in new pacman's gensync.

This is the bug report:

This has to be fixed soon, or users cannot use local custom repositories with their own packages.

Your proposed fix doesn't work.  I've uploaded a patch.  In the meantime, stop using the deprecated gensync, and start using repo-add and repo-remove.

Agreed. gensync is.... old. We haven't really touched it because no one uses it. You can build an entire DB with repo-add.
