KDE and Gnome on the same Arch partition

Hello archers

I use Archlinux with Gnome and I would like to test KDE (KDEmod in fact) without creating another partition. Is it possible ? dangerous ?

Do I have to create another user for KDE ? To switch from a DE to another, do I have to use the daemons in rc.conf (gdm/kdm) or can I switch thanks to gdm sessions ?

To finish, is the installation the same as a fresh install ? pacman -S kdemod-complete ?

Thanks

Of course it's possible. You don't need to use a different partition or user.

Just run "pacman -S kdemod-complete" and choose kdemod session in gdm.

There no problem at all.
Some time ago, I had Kde, gnome, fluxbox, fvwm, iceWm and e17 on the same /.
You just need some place lol
