Burn iso image on DVD and afterwards mounting --> ERROR

Hi foks,

I have burned my iso image on a DVD which seems to work fine, below is the output result.

 burnDVDiso burn.iso

Now I want to review the contents on the new burned DVD and gets the following results.

mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sr0,
       missing codepage or other error
       In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
       dmesg | tail  or so

I am using a proper DVD disc. If I'm mounting and already written DVD ie. say the sims game, the mounting thingie works flawless. This means that my writting is not working as it should. Here is my script that I am using when burning my iso image on the DVD.

# Burn an iso image
#
# $1 = iso image
#
growisofs -Z /dev/cdrw=$1

And here is how I create my iso image via a script. It should be noted that I have mounted my iso image so I know that all my files are there.

#
# To make an iso-image just copy the needed files to the folder assigned as $2
#
# $1 = iso file to create
# $2 = folder containing files
#
mkisofs -V volume_name -J -r -o $1 $2

I hope that someone got a clue what's going on here!

Have you opened/closed your drive and tried again? After two days you'll probably have, however that prevented me from mounting a burned dvd once ...

I'm having exactly the same problem here.
(And I've already tried to open/close my DVD drive...)

Interestingly yesterday i burnt a DVD-R disc, opened/closed drive tray, and tried to mount it - got the same error as you guys several times. Then i tried mounting it as root, and it worked fine, then i mounted it as a user - worked again.... weird, i know. So maybe try mounting as root.

I'm having the same problem to and it is really starting to bug me, I've tried using k3b, brasero and even from the terminal using growisofs.
This is the output I get from dmesg | tail.

I think I've found the answer, yesterday I disabled one of my auto mounters(thunar volume manager) and now I can mount the DVDs that I burn.
