Where did the original PKGBUILD go in the AUR? I have done searches on all the repositories and can't find the original PKGBUILD. I know I downloaded this PKGBUILD from the AUR and would like to update it to the 169.07 drivers from nvidia, but I am stuck.

It is up to the maintainer/contributor of the package to remove it from the AUR. Maybe he had good reasons for doing so, maybe it was just a lack of time.

You have two choices: you can ask him per mail or you can take the PKGBUILD and try it. If it does not work anymore, that could be the reason why he put it from the AUR.

Do not do this as root, and make a backup before.

AUR does not support x86_64. Use CVS instead.

Eh, say what? Plenty of the PKGBUILDs on AUR have x86_64 added in the arch array. Or am I misunderstanding you?

I believe Pierre meant to use ABS.

As to AUR not supporting  x86_64, it is because the AUR interface only displays the PKGBUILD that are in unsupported or that have a corresponding package in the i686 community repo. Packages that are only present in the x86_64 community repo, like the lib32 ones, do not have an entry in AUR.

Snowman is right; sorry for my short answer. :-) In addition to this: If you see a packge in AUR which is only in community-64, it is not the same like the one in the repo!

Ah, that clarifies it, I never knew it worked like that.
