I want to change some of the default paths for apache (/home/httpd? bleh!) (/etc/httpd? bleh!!). Can you change this default with pacman, or is ABS the only way to do it? Didn't see anything in the man page, just wondering if there is a way I'm not noticing.
I skimmed back a few pages but didn't see anything about this, nor did a search reveal anything.
Thanks!

well as far as changing default install locations it may be possible to change them in the configure options of the PKGBUILD. be very wary of changing etc/httpd. /etc is the FSH (?) standard directory for system files/directories.

The FSH standard eh? Reminds me of fish... it's FHS.
Usually things like the webroot can be configured post-install, like with apache you'd edit /etc/httpd/httpd.conf

regardless of the name, it's still kind of a stupid antiquated setup, in my humble probably wrong opinion.

You haven't read the FHS 2.3 yet... it has things like a /media directory...

I just never got into RH's layout, guess I'm old school. I just built them myself anyway, almost as fast.
