What heppened to MAME ports?

Do you know why all Linux MAME ports are dead?
They are last updated in 2006.
But last mame update is from 2008!
Is it for Windows only? Can we do anything with it?

Re: What heppened to MAME ports?

Because sdlmame (2008, which is different from xmame-sdl) has taken over from xmame (2006). Is a rewrite, and separate websites.

Re: What heppened to MAME ports?

I understand that sdlmame is different port and is on different website, but I still don't understand why on sdlmame website (your link) there is "10/13/2006" instead "2008".

Re: What heppened to MAME ports?

Probably the date when that page was created, very missleading since it's updated every now and then.
