streaming media to the xbox360

Hi,

I recently got an xbox 360 and want to stream both audio and video to it. The obvious choice is my arch server I searched the forums and google but haven't really found anything which satisfies my needs. Twonky looks good but it's pay-ware. A lot of the others are web server based which I would rather avoid as I don't need it and wouldn't need it. Does anyone here have any recommendations for an open source simple upnp media server which works reliably with xbox 360?

Very old thread...
I use 'mediatomb', but am watching 'coherence' closely - I think it will surpass every one of its opponents (mediatomb, ushare, fuppes etc.).
