SOLVED (kind of) .tar.gz files

Hi, I need to install a plugin for adobe reader, so that i can view some encrypted scientific papers. The plugin is FileOpen systems; http://www.fileopen.com/

How can i install this plugin? do i have to make a makefile, or can i get by it somehow easier?

Allright, problem solved.
I made my way through the .sh file and all i needed to do was move a .api file to ~/plug_ins ... really dunno why they made an installer for this. but anyway, it's working
