I was wondering how can get an overview of all the available man pages on my system.

One way, but not the best, would be to list the contents of /usr/share/(man1, man3, man4, man5, man7, man8)
cheers,

Don't forget /usr/man as many packages haven't moved their man pages to /usr/share/man yet.

For KDE users: Open Konqueror with this URL -> man:/
Or use xman, from xorg-apps.

You should install xman. It shows all names of man pages an allows to choose which of them to see.
