I get this weird error when I insert a CD on any of my optical drives:
mount: tipo de sistema de ficheros 'iso9660' desconocido
Yeah, I know it in spanish, I tried by executing konqueror with 'LANG=C' however it runs in spanish... it means the next:
mount: filesystem type 'iso9660' unknown
Have you got any ideas?

can you post your fstab?
i had that problems sometimes, and i added:
/dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom iso9660,udf ro,user,noauto,unhide 0 0
/dev/dvd /mnt/dvd udf,iso9660 ro,user,noauto,unhide 0 0
udf and iso9660 on cdrom and dvd aswell

Everything is ok here with these lines in fstab :
/dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom iso9660 ro,user,noauto,unhide 0 0
/dev/dvd /mnt/dvd udf ro,user,noauto,unhide 0 0
Can you also post the results of the command 'groups' (as a user), here is mine :
sys disk wheel network video audio optical storage scanner camera vboxusers alain

When using HAL, you can comment out cdrom/dvd lines out of fstab, those are only needed for manual mounting.

Are you using konqueror to mount a data CD?
I thought konqueror plays CD audio.
K3b mounts .iso9660 devices.
Try k3b.
