Well i just tried compiling it from source, but it fails with a million warnings:
"jagsprefsdialog.cpp:304: warning: deprecated conversion from string constant to 'gchar*'"
Then i took executables from debian package, created arch package out of them, ran the program...
It's an old gtk+ program, so it looks ugly, and browsing samba shares didn't work for me either.
I guess it's better to use up-to-date programs like nautilus or gnome-commander, or mount the shares using smbnetfs.
Hope this helps

for the debian package : i think this version was out to date because there is a gtk2 version
thanks for your help.
xsmbrowser doesn't works because of a dependancy conflict between expect an expectk.
i'll try another option.
